When it comes to DNA, a human is closer to a chimp than a mouse is to a rat. What makes us different? Regulation. The DNA is 95% the same (contentious) but the protiens we make are only 35% the same. So I suppose the chimps should "outsource" the protein production in order to achieve some "acceptable" results (like a free life without being put in cages etc.) Then they'll sure have a "brand value" for themselves in this extremely homocentric world. |
