Even if this is true, I don't see myself ever trying it. Researchers come up with the strangest things sometimes.

I would do these exercises - if I could remember to *lol*

I disagree with Fudzzz, the researchers in this instance have identified a quick and simple technique that works because the eye movement equalizes both hemispheres of the brain, as what is seen by the left eye goes to the right hemisphere and what is seen by the right eye goes to the left hemisphere. The eye movement therefore ensures activation of both hemispheres and therefore aids memory retrieval!!!

What are you disagreeing with shazzas? I didn't say the researchers were wrong. I said that even if they were right, I wouldn't do this stupid exercise. Have you tried moving your eyes from left to right for 30 seconds? It seems it would be inconvenient and kinda uncomfortable to do it whenever you wanna memorize something. Plus, you'll look like a damn idiot.

Hence: Researchers come up with the STRANGEST things.

Yes Fudzzz, I understand you didn't say the researchers were wrong. My disagreement was in relation (and still is) to your comment about researchers coming up with the strangest of things. I really don't think that (given the research behind the idea) the hypothesis of moving ones eyes from side to side is strange, or that the action of moving ones eyes from side to side is strange, afterall the eye movement can be done in a discreet fashion it is not like they require you to nod your head from side to side. Yes I have tried it, 30 seconds is a minimal amount of time and also less expensive than other memory boosting supplements. The way I understand the research is that they are suggesting ...

Oh yea? Well, you're ugly!

And...and...and you spelled 'peice' wrong! It's P-I-E-C-E! 'i before e, except after c' !!!

Yay, I win the argument! I won, I won!!!

Didn't realize we'd got web cam!
It's been interesting exploring the arguments for and against the research with Fudzzz. I find it reassuring that the notion of his winning argument (in regards to the effectiveness of saccadic bilateral eye movement as a memory enhancing tool) ultimately has to rely on a typing error.
And well name calling, I'll leave that to the school playground rather than this arena, although interesting!!!!!!!!!!

See ya later <">
