sahara says: Mah-Bibi at ten years old is destitute and begs for food to support herself and her younger brothers. Women tell their own individual stories of how their lives have been affected by war. Coping with displacement, physical and sexual violence, missing relatives, widowhood, detention... challenges and difficulties that these and thousands of other women must face in their daily lives. When I'll see my (beloved) grandson playing his ferocious war game again, I'll let him watch this video clip. I'm rather sure he will be touched as I have been, and will ask me, what were to be done for a better world. And then I'll tell him: When you feel a strong urge to pit your strength against someone, then go in for adequate sports. But do stop spoiling your imaginativeness by playing warlord games, even in the role of a fighter for the good against the evil. Heart-wrenching... While governments keep finding reasons to hate and kill one another when will they see the real horror of the wars they create? This is the exact reason that I am an anti-war activist. I can only wish that Bush et al will one day have only grass to eat and not a shred of hope. That is the hell that awaits them. |
