Speaking only for myself, though, I will be watchful as to the individual writing on this topic so as not to fall into the dilemma of 'honesty as relative' or as being up to the individual to determine, depending on the situation. With some exceptions (doing the least harm), the lack of a sense of moral authority is why humanity is in the state it is. Will I be reading Alterman, let's say, and find I'm reading a treatise on how honesty is so subjective and what it means here is not what it means there, and I'll find I'm staring right at the reason why "we" have such a problem with a lack of integrity in our leaders down to our web comment-ers?
