I am wondering, how this report going to change the world?
Will ice melt faster or slower? Or maybe people going to consume less? Nothing will change. No doubt, there is chance for catastrophe to occur. But the Earth's history is a history of catastrophes. Heating, cooling, eruptions, earthquakes, floods, tsunami, asteroids killed life. And people killed and kill each other. So what the piece of paper gonna change?

Nothing.

It will certainly have an impact on how the world's policymakers act from now on.

Perhaps the policymakers can use another tool in their arsenal of political tools. The reality of it though is that it's very unlikely to have any impact on the problem at hand.
