Brazen propaganda? Trying to protect your insurance company investment portfolio, willie? Did you bother to read the responses to the full post on the clipped site? I doubt it very sincerely. To a person every comment suggests superior experiences from not-for-profit government paid health care, with horror story after horror story about experiences here in the US.

All of that is anecdotal, I will agree, but no one can tell me we receive better care because of layer upon layer of middle management paper-pushers at $60k+/year supporting the profit increasing schemes of multi-million dollar a year top executives. It simply defies common sense. Oh, wait. I just hit the bone of the issue there. I forgot who I was addressing.

yes, we know how efficient and cost effective the government is. Did you see Obama's speech. He gave three examples of why we need to "fix" healthcare. These were the best he could come up with. Pretty pathetic.

Ah, Willhelm the Chickenhearted; invoking the old Scarecrow of "Everything the Government Touches is Ruined". That's the biggest load of crap I've ever heard, Willhelm, and I've been listening to your propaganda clips for quite some time now. By the way, how much do the Republican'ts pay you to post and support their lies; because no logical person could ever believe the audacious claptrap you try to sell us.

This anecdote is perfectly true, and very typical of Socialized Medicine. American Healthcare, like everything American, is over priced and lacking in quality due to greedy capitalists gouging the maximum profit out of it. The American appetite for horrendous profits is insatiable, to ...

Shame the American hadn't been part of the socialist European Union. They would have got the treatment free. Wickedly, socialists believe healthcare is a basic human entitlement.

They would have got the treatment free.
How would it have been free?

socialists believe healthcare is a basic human entitlement.
Unless one is a non-socialist? I and other Americans believe the right to speak is a basic human entitlement. Funny thing is we believe it remains so for our European visitors.

It must be so easy for you when 90% of the medical advancements in the world are financed by the capitalist system in America. But why dwell on advancements when you can resort to "treating" cancer in 60 year olds with morphine and end of lifecounseling. Free goes a long way.

"socialist" is a pun on "socialised". Geddit? The idea that the EU or Britain are socialist is ludicrous.

My question wasn't about the "socialist" reference. I just used your reference to frame my question. I don't believe the EU or Britain is Socialist, but socialism isn't a black and white state, there are matters of degrees.

News flash, Willhelm the Chickenhearted: Britain and the EU are Social Democracies. That's Socialist. Socialism isn't the boogieman that you think it is. You already live in a semi-socialist country now, and it's the Capitalist part of the system that's driving the US to ruin, not the Socialist part.

You're getting money out of spreading these lies, Willhelm. No sane person would want to do anything that will radically lower costs and improve the quality of their healthcare, so you either have to be paid off, or monumentally insane to believe the wild conspiracy theories you're touting.

Should be... "No sane person would want to do want to do anything that jeopardizes radically lowering costs and improving the quality of their healthcare"

Oh, and for your information; most of the medical breakthroughs coming out now are coming from India, not America. America is stagnant in all medical fields, except plastic surgery, while India's socialist system (and the other socialized healthcare systems in the world) are making all the breakthroughs.

While fishing in Canada my brother hooked himself pretty good. We went to the emergency room and they removed the hook, placing it on a wall of many other hooks, and charged us a whopping $65 for removal and stitches.

I have to laugh when I hear the imbeciles crying about socialized medicine. These freaks throw the word 'socialized' around like it is evil when IN FACT our country utilizes many socialized institutions to function for the public such as the police department, the fire department, emergency services, etc.
