Almost impossible to comment on this. I guess the death penalty isn't much of a deterrent. We live in a sick world.

I'm not going to comment about the social aspects (gun control, for example) that things like these reveal. I'd rather say that the little girl showed more cojones than 99.9% of people ever will. And that's a shame. Evil is evil as long as good lets it.

Ordinarily I do not approve of capital punishment, but in this particular case, I would agree that if the facts are as stated, it's certainly appropriate.

But frankly, I'm not sure I'm feeling as merciful as all that. I think I'd rather dump him into the general population of a major prison and let nature take it's course.

And what the f is this about "they don't have a unit" when the woman calls, but when the gas station guy calls, they send one?

I think that deserves a little more attention.

I hope this bastard goes to prison and is murdered in the most torturous way.

No penalty, death or otherwise, is going to deter someone like this. He obviously felt this woman had treated him badly. Give him life without parole and let him stew in the fetor of his own resentments for a few dozen years.
