alanocu says: I guess it's obvious that I like photography Yes, and I am very glad you do because you find great pictures. Pretty cool- Ideas and photos- Thanks for the clip. Great. I was disappointed to see that none cropped the bird out of the picture. Not only was it a picture of a bird, but also a beach. But still very interesting! @ Alanocu: I really appreciate the time you take to clip the things you do about photography. It always gives me a boost to pick up my camera or paintbrush, hopefully one day I will be able to make a living from making art, it is my driving passion in life and without a doubt the most therapeutic way to express yourself. Great stuff.I agree about the ratio concerning processing. I love my Photoshop program, especailly when I can't take a good picture worth a darn, but I can make them look good after. I was disappointed to see that none cropped the bird out of the picture.Me too, jon. I wonder why no one chose that? Great clip, Alanocu. hey thanks for the great comments everyone! @BNM and Jon - that's a great point about cropping the bird out of the photo; one I hadn't considered! Hi Alan...how do you find such intrstg clips? Nice little research. tnx. I'm glad that you like photography: I've learned a lot from your clips. Thanks. nice stuff.great goin, keep it up there are 50 ways 2leave yr lover indefinite ways to interprate ` it ` but only one way 2make love .... -)) one track mind! they didn't crop the bird because it is prominent, perhaps they feared being "wrong" or felt that the image would be uninteresting without a "subject", even if that subject is only an animal (hence the closeups). mugofcoffee sorry I didn't see your message sooner. I should be better about checking my clips! I probably have more free time than a lot of people. I have my own business and work from home. It's a small marketing business for commercial printers. So I'm always on the net doing something. I find a lot of things just from browsing sites that I find interesting. Another place I get ideas is http://www.popurls.com/ . They aggregate a lot of what's popular on the net in real-time. You'll even find clipmarks on that page. The other tool I use is RSS feeds. It's by far the fastest and easiest way to scan tons of sites in a fraction of the time it would take to view them individually! @thinboy: A very good point, and you raise a very important issue about considering your audience / viewers when making images! Groovy. Those ways and so much more if you have an open mind. We learn so much from you, alan. I didn't know about popurls.com. Thanks. |
