Oh, remember, BB, natural selection can proceed in all directions. For example - look to the heartland. If you select for stupid, you get more stupid.

Of course, the people to whom this is most pointedly directed don't believe in evolution. And likely will continue to, even when they are being outsmarted by chimps.

Come on if they have not changed now they never will.
I know that for years people believe the theories of what scientist say, however they are constantly changing there stories, and for the most part, most scientist do not agree with each other.

Unless one has some sort of belief in human importance, it is important to consider 'human evolution' in the complex context of the general gene pool (which is part of the environment). One would then have to hold open the possibility that the human animal is 'evolving' towards extinction.

Monkeys are what they evolved INTO. And they are still evolving, like we are, and generally everything else.

So when you ask, "why are they STILL monkeys" it can only be because you start with the assumption that they STARTED as monkeys.

In short, you started with the result (your belief), and formed the question around it. It's your assumptions (that things STARTED the way they currently appear) that you should examine (and test) if you're really looking to know the truth.
