Good analogy. Religious people have spent a huge amount of time, energy, and resources in developing a certain world view. Because this world view depends not on facts the cost has been exceedingly high. They've had to overcome logic and rational thought to arrive at what to them are answers to very important questions. To expect them to simply throw that away is unrealistic. So I keep beating my small drum. I've influenced a handful of people and maybe that's enough. Maybe reality will be enough some day.
