(Another good one on that obesogenic count <A href="http://www.grist.org/news/maindish/2006/02/22/philpott/">here</A>.)</p> <P>Now Grist has done a nice <A href="http://www.grist.org/comments/food/2007/05/24/ethanol/index.html?source=food">round-up of the reasons why it also makes a lousy feedstock for biofuels</A>:</p> <P>* <A href="http://gristmill.grist.org/story/2007/1/14/133338/207">When compared to gasoline, it offers only a slim advantage in terms of greenhouse gas emissions</A>, on account of its production being so energy intensive.</p> <P>* Using it for fuel has, predictably, driven up its cost.
