“I don’t believe in colleges and universities. I believe in libraries because most students don’t have any money.ahhh, but with the Internet, a university level education is a mere click (and a hell of a lot of hard work) away. I love libraries though, and I still take books out pretty regularly. Ben Franklin knew what he was doing, when he started the first library. Sometimes, American citizens forget that one of the few places with knowledge accessible to everyone, is their local public library. Especially in way out rural areas, which may never get DSL internet, if it weren't for their libraries, they'd have no access to the latest news & knowledge. @Antara, and a hell of a lot of hard workAbsolutely! Online classes are not easy. I grew up spending my spare time in the library. The books were such an adventure for me and I particularly enjoyed non-fiction because I felt they were always more informative, fascinating, and entertaining than any novel although I enjoy a good novel also. |
