m_a_d_d_i_ says: ok there is absolutely no point to this but for some reason i cannot stop staring at this clip Do they instinctively just roll over? Pointless question, I know. Your clip got me staring as well.. I think they were trying to get away and are just clumsy Has to do with their diets. Now it's making me laugh. The more I watch it, the more it tickles. Skwirly, grass? Hay? No I quit smokin grass years ago, but Hay, you can if you want. That is funny as hell. Hahaha! Oh Skwirl.. I love this clip! These are so-called fainting goats. A fainting goat is a breed of domestic goat whose external muscles freeze for roughly ten seconds when the goat is startled. Though painless, this generally results in the animal collapsing on its side. The characteristic is caused by a hereditary genetic disorder called myotonia congenita. The clip was taken from this news video, which explains everything and is highly worth watching. Thanks Kore7. I have seen this video before in an email and found it disturbing. I figured there had to be a reason for it. I actually felt sorry for them. Thats very sensitive of you i know how you feel, i don't know if its hilarious or terribly disturbing... my god i just watched the news clip, can you imagine having goats that fainted everytime you so much as fed them! Thanks for the info, Kore! You're a great web sentinel Maybe I shouldn't be laughing.. It's still funny. I think it's both hilarious and shocking (and apparently harmless). It just looks so unnatural to see the cute little goats go belly-up like that with their legs in the air. Though I'm sure flailing the umbrella at them never gets old, it is a bit gratuitous, isn't it? |
