Is it really 'Froot' Loops?

When I was a kid, a "Froot Loop" was also that little loop of fabric on the back of the collar of a shirt used to hang it on a hook. Kids at school used to yank them off the people in front of them when we were standing in line for stuff.

And, yes, it is spelled "F-r-o-o-t" on the box. It was supposed to be "Fruit Loops", but before the cereal even hit the shelves, a woman named Renee Paxton sued Kellogg's because they did not, in fact, contain any fruit. So, Janine Sugawara's lawsuit against Quaker Oats over Cap'n Crunch with Crunchberries wasn't the first of its kind.

I didn't know that Jorjor! I saved the labels off of Cap'n Crunch as a kid and sent away for treasure box--so cool at the time.

What?!? You mean you'd actually ship off boxes of Froot Loops to a faaaraway country, (where they are banned because of the blinding luminescent and probably poisonous food colourings), just so someone could ration them into tiny little handfuls, and then savour and enjoy each and every individual cute littlle Loop slooowly and one by one, before eating the next, just so someone could have a little walk down memory lane and enjoy one of their most adored childhood breakfast cereals??? You would do that?? Silliness.

i wonder if i whispered this very quietly if no one would hear: i love the taste of froot loops! and the smell. i don't go out of my way to eat it, but if someone has some...watch out.
