cpltaiji says: His method of protest seems a bit self defeating to me. He bought shoes which was fine but now neither he nor his family have a place to live. Now he locks himself in chains and a mask so he can effectively avoid working through the problem! @quickstar: Other than not being homeless, which, by the way this man was not, yes to everything else. My wife and I live check to check sometimes not knowing where our mortgage payment is coming from. We eat a lot of pasta. I wear $9 shoes from K-Mart. We almost never eat out. Many times we have to 'borrow from Peter to pay Paul' as millions of Americans in our tax bracket do. However, at no point in time have I considered locking myself in chains, engaging in self mutilation, hiding behind a mask and throwing the burden on someone else. We are solely responsible for our actions. What is this man's family going to live on while he sits there in his room feeling sorry for himself. If I seem harsh, I apologize, but that is reality! |
