If there is a mosquito within 5 miles of me, she will find me and bite me.

We were up half the night last night trying to track down a vicious mosquito.

Thanks for the tips, deusdiabolus. Mosquitoes are already hunting for me here in northern Ontario. Our mosquitoes are so big that they are jokingly referred to as Ontario's provincial bird!

Gosh, you should see all the bites I had from mosquitoes and fleas back in Florida. They were all over my arms and legs...

My next door neighbor has a swimming pool that has turned into a swamp. Mosquitoes are a terrible problem for us. I like the idea of lavender body spray or lotion. I'll try that.

Damn mosquitoes. They are so big here in Northern Ontario that last evening I heard two of them sitting in a tree by the garden arguing : one wanted to eat me right there where I stood, while the other one wanted to carry me home for a candle-lit dinner.

Municipalities control mosquitos by spraying an aerosol of vegetable oil, which then covers stagnant bodies of water in a thin layer to prevent mosquito larvae from hatching and maturing.

Listen up! For any bug bites, bee or wasp stings, make a paste of baking soda and water. Pile it on the bite. It sucks the poison out into the paste and stops the stinging. Best tip I've ever gotten!

I was stung by 14 yellow jackets at one time. The paste and Benadryl saved me a trip to the hospital. I'll spare you the drama of those panicky minutes.

Have mercy! Dorine, I was stung twice by a yellow jacket and that hurt beyond belief. I can't imagine 14 stings. Ouch!
