Monkfishy says: These people believed that secret agents would administer medicine to them as they slept? Yeah, and if you leave $800,000 under your pillow for the Tooth Fairy, the Underpants Gnomes will make you a tinfoil tiara. *LOL* Ok, I'm not even sure if successfully bilking people on that basis should be a crime. Ok, it should be. But it shuld be prosecuted as "taking advantage of the handicapped." Must have been those "9/11 was in inside job" people getting scammed, they think the government is capable of anything. I happen to think this government is capable of thinking it's capable of getting away with anything - even when it's clearly as wrong about that as a cat covering up on linoleum. And to extend the parallel, when someone is clearly trying to ineffectively cover up a pile of crap, I don't need a biochemist or a coprologist to tell me I shoudn't swallow it. Knowing the truth would be nice. But knowing that the path to the truth has been deliberately and obviously impeded and obscured is more than enough evidence to base personal and political decisions on. Ain't that right, Giuliani? |
