if not living green we will make do with dying green .. (one or many return) .... That's definitely the way I want to go when I go. Keep it simple, and let the earth take me back. A little morbid, sure, but I think it's kind of beautiful in a way too. It's a simple and sensible way to "go". Seems simple and sensible yes... But what about tombstones, permanent memories, final resting place, etc. How will society handle those if this future emerges? /e Yes, perhaps it is too simple. I was forgetting I come from a family not given to mawkish sentiment. When a family member dies we hold no funerals, memorials, wakes and the like. The body is simply cremated and the ashes are discarded by the crematorium. There are no plaques, gravestones or markers recording their existence, but they live on in our memories. Interesting, michelle. I can't even imagine not having some kind of ceremony. Michelle, I salute you and your family, that is simply illuminating. Before we wish this kind of end for our loved ones, we should look at this "clip" which discusses different rites across different cultures around the world.
