Driving across North America, picking up hitch-hikers, making friends on the road, “experimenting” with all kinds of things, all kinds of people and having no permanent address. Living on the road, living without a care, living for today. I no longer feel the same way about the beat life. Of course, I have grown up, reality has brought me to the ground and on my hunt for a better tomorrow, I hardly have time for today. But this is not why I wouldn’t want to live the beat life. Silly as it may sound to many, and this is going to get very silly, it’s guilt.</DIV></blockquote><div style="height: 2px; font-size: 2px; background: #dcdcdc; border-bottom: solid 1px #f5f5f5; margin: 2px 4px;"></div><blockquote style="text-align: left; padding: 0px 8px; margin: 4px 0px 8px 0px; background: transparent; border: none;" cite="http://www.myrepublica.com/portal/index.php?action=news_details&news_id=9528"><DIV class="pullquote">I cringe every time I see a big, fuel-guzzling, pollution-spewing monster of an SUV on the road driven by a single person. I don’t expect people to give up their cars and start riding bicycles but wouldn’t a smaller, more compact car do?</DIV></blockquote></div><div style="margin: 0px 6px 6px 4px;"><table style="font-size: 11px;border-spacing: 0px;padding: 0px;" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%"><tr><td style="background:transparent;border-width:0px;padding:0px;"> </td><td align="right" style="background:transparent;border-width:0px;padding:0px;width:107px" width="107"><a href="http://clipmarks.com/share/B6421B42-890E-406E-B98D-F649CE719337/blog/" title="blog or email this clip"><img src="http://content9.clipmarks.com/images/c2b-foot.png" border="0" alt="blog it" width="107" height="17" style="border-width:0px;padding:0px;margin:0px;" /></a></td></tr></table></div></div>
