what about the religion of atheism? And the religion of Evolution? Somebody didn't watch the video. Christopher Hitchens, who I quite admire for his intellectual honesty and logical expertise, has been dismantled on interviews I've heard him take part in about his book. Particularly his interview with Dennis Prager where it was revealed that Hitchen's blatantly lied in his book about a conversation with Prager. His book is also empty of logic and argument. That is so unlike Hitchens. Hitchens is also not exempt from criticism from other atheists. He makes narrow-minded, bigoted statements that 10 minutes of rational consideration can refute. Yet, he makes them, because they are easy to make. Also, I suspect that it weighs on his mind, subconsciously if not consciously, that a more careful and accurate description of the matter would not draw nearly as large an audience.A good essay for people to read if they want to debate Hitchens. The debate with Prager, that willhelm mentioned, is a good one.... His book is also empty of logic and argument. That is so unlike Hitchens.Really? Then we must not be reading the same Hitchens, because for quite sometime he has been both spouting empty, meanigless rhetoric and illogical arguments. This is the old (sober) Stalinist coming back again for one more tour, now that his cheering for the Rogue of Petra has run its course. popped for comments and Fyte and Prager links. Thanks |
