I think it would be more appropriate to say that plants which provide pharmacological advantage to humans are there to serve. Just like how humans are here on earth to serve each other, which ultimately means that this whole universe and all that is included in it, is here to serve each other.

Makes you think rationally how equally responsible humans "should" be towards environment.
