He's a brave man. I commend him for this and support his movie.

We are drunken on the idea that government is bad and business is good. So drunken, we barely notice how much control of government business exercises. So drunken, that business has made us into Stepford wives, gladly giving it whatever it asks.

It's mildly embarrassing to admit that I've had a crush on him for 23 years now (since The Sure Thing came out), but hey... Nice to see that he's smart and committed, as well as cute.

I'll confess I know it by reputation only and haven't seen it! Do they have it in video stores? (You're touching my field of ignorance here!)

Oh my goodness! You must watch it Mas! And you should be able to rent it at any video store. Now, we have an original and a remake; I prefer the original:
http://www.netflix.com/Movie/The_Stepford_Wives/999855?lnkctr=srchrd-sr&strkid=1262570305_1_0

To me the remake was so different from the original in the sense that the original was so creepy and it made a bold statement in 1975. Now some people liked the remake because it added humor, but IMHO, I liked the original.

John Cusak was on Air America talking about this film. I think it's only opening in L.A. and New York but will get a wider distribution if enough people go and see it.

Did Crusak ever serve in the miliatry? I doubt it. Brave man? Get real. Another cowardly liberal, letting other people pay for his freedom to be an asshole. I say these traitors should have their American citizenship stripped and they should find some other country to foul with their presence.

So your only brave if you where an uniform?

If you dare use the freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution you should not be a citizen?

Interesting....

Oh for Christ's sake pkronfield! Do you believe half of what you say?

Hmm. 'pears only conservatives who are veterans are loyal Americans. But you have to admire the truly American love of freedom found in such comments as
I say these traitors should have their American citizenship stripped
Now there's a patriotic view, one quick to defend our Constitution.

I was following a semi the other day on Interstate 80. It said "America - Love it or Leave!" and I thought "you arrogant bastard! How dare you claim the right to say some other US citizen should not be here! How dare you imply that people have to agree with you to be legitimate Americans! That fascist comment is like thumbing your nose at freedom!"

Debbyski, I believe everything I write. If a young man in America is not prepared to serve the country, especially in wartime, there is a touch of yellow up the spine. In WWII the military had to force unfit people away from the recruiting stations so desperate were they to serve. Today some idiot who happens to have the most phony of all jobs - acting - is listened to and has credibility. What do todays actors and actresses and Crusaks know about the real world? Nothing. In WWII the brave actors (Lee Marvin is a good example) joined up and served with honor. Today's leftist hollywood idiots do everything they can to undermine the country. They obviously do not love the country, just...

pkonfield, why the interest in what I have to say if you hate liberals? I have to warn you that I consider all my clips to be a safe haven for those who are gay and I don't appreciate homophobic comments. So, tell me why the interest in following me and commenting? We seem to not agree on anything much. Why would you be interested in anything I have to say?

I have no problem with gay people. I wouldn't object to having a gay couple as neighbors in my condominium. Matter of fact, my next door neighbor is gay. I just object to granting them marital rights. I don't think it is right for a gay couple to adopt. I know of a gay couple (male) who actually was allowed to adopt a little Chinese boy. Now here is one kid who will grow up screwed up, without a chance to have a normal life. It isn't right.

Come on pkonfield! Be honest. You don't like gay people do you? You think it's not normal, right? Your comments suggest that. OUT with it, come on! I can take it.

Well gosh. If 99% of the human race are heterosexual and only 1% are "gay", why would you object to thinking the practice of homosexuality is not normal. Are you trying to tell me the majority of humans engage in homosexuality?? But then, I am sure you will find that written somewhere in the NY Times. I imagine 60% of its editorial board are homosexuals. And I have lots of gay friends. I just don't hang out with them. If I had to choose between muslim neighbors and gay neighbors, I'd choose the gays in a heartbeat.

Oh come on, answer the question. You don't like it do you? But maybe you like the idea of two women being together, eh? Two really hot women? Ever fantasize about thqat pkonfield? Or maybe even the idea of you joining in? You still haven't answered my question as to why you are following me and since we are definitely not like-minded is it because I'm bisexual and maybe you like thinking about that? Do tell.

My goodness gracious, Debbyski!! I had no idea, but your sexual orientation doesn't affect my opinion of your mental acumen one iota. I follow you because I have read some of your postings and enjoyed them immensely. I think you are witty and funny. The fact we are politically at opposite ends of the pole make little difference. Some of my dearest friends are rabid liberals. They know I am a right wing gun toting skin head. So we just don't talk politics when we are together. As far are your musings on the affect of two hot bisexual women are concerned..... how close are you to Texas?? pant pant hahahaah

hahahahahaha,
Ok, so some gay sex is more normal than others eh?? OMG, you so made me laugh with the how close to Texas thingy

Comment away on my clips sugar. (and I can't believe I'm saying this to a right-wing skin head, but then again, I'm a gun totin' liberal so what the hell)

"I don't think people really understand that. Corporations have privatized the war to the point where the war itself is the cost-plus business
This is such a good point. We are a society in the war business, and we won't be leaving the business behind until those who make money from it lose the power to influence government.

Thousands of Americans - including many in Congress - personally profit every time the USA goes to war. Talk about conflict of interest! No one who owns stock in a military supplier should be allowed to vote on legislation from which military contractors will benefit.
