Now even the Nunavut people who offer up already beleaguered polar bears to "sport" hunters for the money are finally admitting that their polar bear population is declining...but they still won't agree that climate change is the cause of the decline. I suppose that it really is an inconvenient truth that they would rather not acknowledge. But rather than stop the hunting they are just reducing the quota of bears to be slaughtered. They are lobbying the US government to try to keep the polar bear off the endangered species list for economic reasons. So much for the myth of the noble savage!
