Because I think thanking US government for the current mayhem in Iraq is surrealistic. And I know some Kurd groups are financed by US. (please note I didn't support Saddam, of course - I just think the way US dealt with the situation brought more pain, death and instability to the region that was there before - do you know more than 100.000 Iraqi civilians died during te war ?? No talking about the Saddam soldiers, but CIVILIANS !!!) Let's not forget that the U.S. Military covertly paid Iraqi papers to print pro-American stories, while we were supposedly trying to help Iraq establish a free unbiased press. I will not minimize the terrible things that are happening in Iraq, but I am CONVINCED that all you all hear is the bad stuff and none of the good. I'm confident that ya'll believe that people such as myself are naive...we are not! Yes, some Kurdish groups may be financed by the US (governmental and private) because who else will help them? Russia, France, Iran, Turkey???? We want to see them succeed and prosper. They suffered long enough and if you say they did because of the US, then I say, consider the times. No one is omniscient.
