The real difficulty with Mr Biden, however, is his judgment.

On all the big questions, he has been – to put it politely – on the wrong side of history.

Ah shucks...now the rabid right wants to start picking apart Uncle Joe.

Sure, he'll get going talking and talking and goes "off script," but Uncle Joes are like that and he grew up in a time before Twitter when all thoughts had to be contained in 140 characters (or something).

Sure too, Uncle Joe may not have the best opinions about every policy issue, based on your judgements and opinions...and the views of the Telegraph.

But politics is more than insulting people.
