IE7 is so stale compared to Firefox with all it's possibilities.

At last... Hopefully extensions are being updated too, by the coders.

Firefox is so much better in every way! Love all the extensions & security features. Can't wait for 2.0!

Even though I think IE7 is upto marks with Firefox, but I can't get myself to switch back, I think it is just the habit factor where it would be hard to go back to IE7 given that there is no revolution here, MS have just tried to catch up with Firefox, so they're late and they have lost their customers already. I wonder what was all that stink about with Netscape lawsuit during internet bubble days, I mean, it seems like a joke now.

So I was running the beta version and all of a sudden today, it just converted itself to the 2.0 version without any trouble. I was hoping they would decrease the size of the address bar (it is too large in height) but they didn't. I don't know why we need such a huge address bar.

You might try a different theme, Arif

Those of you who've updated already, have you had any major extension problems?

Oh hey, that did it. I was using Phoenity, now I'm using Phoenity modern, looks good now. Thanks.

I don't have many extensions, but the minimizetotray isn't working anymore, I'm sure the updates are coming.

Once again I strongly recommend Mr Tech's Local Install. One of the many useful tools included in this fantastic extension will make 99% of your extensions compatible.

Thanks for the tip GD. Will do.

Be sure to check the list of extensions that, with the installation of Local Install, you can now uninstall. There are several that Mel Reyes (Mr Tech) incorporated into it.

I have always been a late adopter of Mozilla's latest firefox, except for the first, which I got when I first heard of it. I don't like waiting for my most useful extensions to be made compatible. I have lots of extensions that I use frequently, and missing even one of them would annoy me to no end. I'll wait till every extension I have has been made compatible before updating.

Oh man, I just installed the upgrade and it doesn't work on my machine. The whole bookmarking feature seems to have been borked, so does the built-in search. I always manage to screw something up. Aargh. Maybe I shouldn't install every single extension that looks literesting.

enbar did you install the new del.icio.us addon (1.0.43)? I did and it mucked up my bookmarks too. I had to disable it and will just stick with the no-frills del.icio.us 1.2 add-on.
