Does that mean it is unconstitutional to distribute ANY free literature during school hours, or does it only apply to the Bible or religious materials?

Mathew Staver, president of Liberty Counsel, a Florida-based law group that represented the school district, said he would appeal.

"I think the current policy creates an open forum that allows secular as well as religious persons or groups to access the forum to distribute information," Staver said. "The court has clearly misread the First Amendment and the cases regarding free speech.

Really?!!? I wonder how Mr. Staver of the Liberty Council would feel about Wiccans distributing information to 5th graders in public school?

So, are you advocating that Wiccan material should be allowed, or are you saying religious material and only religious material should be banned?

I say it is either all or nothing. Restricting religious speech and ONLY religious speech is unconstitutional.

Thank you for that well thought out argument. Does that mean I could put you down in the camp who believes there shouldn't be any free literature distributed in public schools?
