Seems McCain is having trouble walking the tightrope between the majority of the US voters and the Pants Police of the Religious Right. It is fun watching him squirm.

What I find hard to believe is the media's continuing soft touch with this man. I can't help but wonder if this is due to his imprisonment in Viet Nam. While I feel empathy towards him on this count, a more rational approach would be to consider his present positions and even to question if his state of mind because of his past life experiences has clouded his judgment to such an extent that he's not fit to be commander in chief of the worlds most powerful nuclear nation.

Relating to the clip, I think he's been allowed to skate on social issues. More vetting by the media, if it ever materializes, can't do him any good.
