Yes, I have. And though I've eliminated my Sears Credit Card, I always check there for things I need. Ah good. I can always use a few more tools. Now I can reward Sears for really supporting the troops instead of just saying they do as so many others. Win - Win. Impressive. I'm sure this is all tied to a tax break as well. While I would like to believe this is a 100% goodwill gesture, reality is that it's probably good for the bottom line somehow. no i didn't know. absolutely remarkable! imagine if more companies would do this... wow. as for the idea it is based on some tax break... i don't think so. if it were then certainly more companies would do it. so unless anyone discovers it really is not 100% good will. i will go on believing that sears is an exemplary company which will in turn earn more of my business because of it. i bought these nice boots from sears and after 2 years they finally need replacing. guess it is time to go to sears Apparently they are not the only ones doing this. Many private companies, including Boeing Aerospace, State Farm Insurance and Sears, Roebuck & Co., close the pay gap for employees called to military duties. Hah! Sears has you right where they want you! They are great at what they do. And that is to have you believe what a wonderful company they are, so that you will spend your money there. And their employees? (Non military) Screw them every which way they can. Just research Fast Eddie! CEO. Dispicable! Whatever the corporate motivation, good for them. I hope it helps the Famlies who have loved ones in harms way. That is the important thing. |
