Notice, The first clip is about praying for people to stop doing bad things, even if you don't approve of the intensity of the meetings, or agree with then about what they think are bad things. The second is about blowing up people you don't like. To point out the obvious, they are not the same. I went to similar camps to the Jesus Camps when I was a kid. I enjoyed them. Notice that it's about persuasion, even if you find the intensity repulsive. In my case, it neither stopped me thinking nor brainwashed me. I did Physics at the Oxford, and found that I was one of the few independent thinkers. Everyone else seemed to be conforming to the expect student norms, and they seemed to find it... It's easy to develop any form of dislike and then categorise it in a convenient way. How do you define what's right, and why?You're talking a broader issue. My point is that these are children. If a person wants to give their lives to an idea in the sky, that's fine...when they're adult, and can think for themselves and be responsible for their actions. These, however, are children. |

but then maybe that's a cultural prejudice of mine... I wonder, could there be other cultural prejudices? How do you define the 'normal' ? It's easy to develop any form of dislike and then categorise it in a convenient way. How do you define what's right, and why?
