Therefore, the trend towards complexity is compelling but does not describe the history of all life.” It's all a matter of survival - be it defensive or offensive. The better survivor lasts longer, especially those complex enough to adapt to a wider range of challenges. Evolution simply demands more and more complexity as different creatures struggle to find advantages over predators or habitat/food competition. |
