masbury says: Compare US's prices with other nations: Both now higher than shown - say, a dollar - but it's not hard to see why we use so much. GREAT graphic. One for water use per head? Perhaps other countries have use of more mass transit than we do Mas. Gas is killing us in the rural areas here where we have to travel to work. I'm sure it's true, debbyski - I'm rural, too. My son and I went to Britain a couple of years ago, and were utterly astonished by mass transit. Trains nearly always went where we wanted to go - all over Britain - and usually every hour! By contrast, Iowa has, now, only one passenger train per day that even touches our 300 X 175 mile state. All eyes on WV this week! Cheers, mountaineers! OK, righthand, try this brief international Water video and this Water use by US region. The latter is old (1990), but a dazzlingly clear graphic. Thanks for the inspiration! |
