Silliness Psychologists call this way of thinking "projection". Ah yes the National Review: A propaganda rag extraordinaire Good clip, Cniq cniq. I thought about clipping this. It is impossible to fit the wisdom of Thomas Sowell on a limited-character clip. The sound-bite era is becoming the clip-bite era. However it would be possible to fit his wisdom into a small grain of rice, without displacing the protein content. SillinessI agree. Marching in the street and having violent demonstrations in the name of peace is silliness. Calling those you don't like Hitler or brown shirts or some other Nazi reference is silliness. Shouting down those whose opinion you don't agree with in the name of your freedom of speech with no regard for theirs is silliness. SillinessIt is amazing to me that there are those that demonstrate they cannot ,and are unwilling to have, open discussions on issues, while lableing the comments of a preeminent thinker as silliness. Now that is silliness. Actually, it is much worse than that. does the word "lunatic" really have to be a tag? call a truce, people! |
