I don't know....I can handle those screechy sounds...but I can't, for the life of me, handle the sound of 2 scraping together *shudder*

There's something so painstaking about someone making that violin sound so horrific when they're really not trying too.

Though I guess the same could be said for the soap opera argument.

I have this weird perception of instruments, Adam. I can't explain it but I think string instruments are most powerful, percussions come next, then brass and woodwinds.. I'm not even sure what I mean by 'powerful'.


People are fascinating! I never would've even thought about the sound of vomiting.

I'm okay with all of these except the mains hum.

I'm constantly fighting with audio equipment to remove groundloops because of that 60hz hum, and I swear it does something to me. I get moody and snappish when the hum is in the background, and go a little crazy if it's loud. Something about that low frequency...

Yeah, whoopee cushions are funny. Same with most burps, I guess, but some burps are just gross.

Mains hum gives me the creeps, eric. Definitely! It's not annoying, it's just plain frightening.

A mosquito's buzz drives me up a wall.

Me too! Waiting for that mozzie to attack during the middle of the night drives me nuts.

I can not believe nails on a chalk board was not on that list. I can add 2 more to this of awful noises...card board rubbing together(like when you open a box). the other is a bit odd. when i have terribly ruff, dry, scaly feet or hands i can not stand anything,particulary fabric, to touch them.not only do i cringe when i hear my skin snag on material, but anybody elses for that matter!!
