I just saw it, and my god did it suck. The whole movie was rushed, there was next to no development. You couldn't wait for it to be over. And yes, the movie was to me taking pot-shots at religion. Essentially it took all the negative stereotypes of religion put them in a movie. And yes, the movie was to me taking pot-shots at religion. EssentiallyCorrect me if I am wrong, but wasn't that the point? Admittedly, I have not seen the movie and do not intend to do so in the future. However, I have read various interviews with the author in which he stated his aim in the series was to create an atheist response to C.S. Lewis' fantasy works. The movie is about that and free will. Why do Christians get so upset when someone disagrees with them? It doesn't take a genius to figure out all the flaws in organized religion, just walk into any church. I liked the movie, although I may not agree with all the points. The author himself said the book was for you to figure out.
