My wife hates me for saying this since she pays for her own gas but could higher prices be good for the environment? Make some people think a little more about their driving routines? Sure, Dairy Queen won't get as much business but won't that be good for people's health as well? Just playing devil's advocate here.

I don't think sitting around the house all summer instead of getting out and going somewhere is good for people's health. In cities it isn't so bad. There is public transportation and you don't have to go far to find what you need. It isn't so nice if you live outside the city where there isn't even a convenience store in walking distance.

What I wonder is why don't we get together and start a class action lawsuit against all the lawmakers blocking drilling in the US? If they can sue Saudi Arabia for allegedly hoarding their reserves, why can't we sue them for doing the same?
