I think it raises interesting questions for me...

Obviously living in a state of war, the natural urges do not lie dormant, perhaps they are even enhanced. But the dire circumstances of combat with no security and no end in sight, day after day, must distort every aspect of human life. Our reactions to stimuli become fundamentally different when killing becomes a regular part of our daily routine.

It is that persistence of instinct and distortion of perspective, both inherent in war, that I see in these pictures.

Are they great art? No. Not really. Sensationalist? Yeah. But still, if we look past the valid question they are posing, we are refusing to acknowledge the surreal reality of life in wartime.

No they are not Art, My daughter is an accomplished Artist. I agree with ouyandgwulong however I think they still use a form of bromide to reduce the sexual urges.
