A prose:

African Americans are divided amongst themselves and the battle is not only their homes but everywhere! The
African American has no real solid community why well step into the ghettos, go into a night club then go to church (listen and hear the war on culture.... feel the clash), read a book, watch BET then listen to rap, r&b and then walk out past the quickie mart count and find out that there are more liquor marts then quickie marts then go home in your run downed house and look out the window look at the gangs, hear the shots, wake up and pout as you see the latest memorial and past those preaching on the latest monologue on their stay in jail and those who just went ...as you...

jetfla - on what basis - what evidence - do you think so?

Jatfla, The truth is that we have here the results of a Materialist philosophy that supposes government can "fix" the problems of minorities, then engages in support for intentionally failing policies for the purpose of advancing their agenda further. The black community has been decimated by failed policies, promises, liberal political opportunism, the destruction of the black family, drugs, diminishing the value of education, shunning the responsibility of fatherhood, and creating a reliance on big-brother that says - You can't make it without government help.

Here are facts:
Without regard to race:
2/3 of poor reside in single parent homes.
Unmarried parents are twice as likely to be i...

President's bush's economy plan will create 2.5 million new jobs. The bad news is they are all for Iraqi soldiers

There is no other country in the world where someone can step off a plane and be instantly considered an American.
No doubt.

No doubt.
LOL

There is no other country in the world where someone can step off a plane and be instantly considered a citizen without it being questioned or afterthought.

Conservatives ... are the ones that support causes and charity with our money and time. The Left just whines about it.
And the evidence for these generalizations is ...

The evidence for the generalization is the generalization itself. If you want facts, then search my clips, tag: charity.

Depends who is stepping of the plane. If its a Cuban, then yes, Mexicans, not so much. And charity is not the end all and be all of things considering that only 40% or less of actual contributions actually reach their intended targets.

Interesting indeed, Willhelm. As one who's salary has been paid by voluntary givers for 20 years, I am certainly grateful to those who give.
I note that all five links discuss the same source. It'll be good to see if other studies come to the same conclusion.

Actually, there a couple of different sources in the clips. . 1. by a "liberal" professor who wrote a book on the issue and performed several studies, surely footnoted and described. The name of the book is "Who Really Cares" and 2. a study by a philanthropy group on charitable contributions by state.

Incidently, Masbury, I think one of the most disturbing problems and trends in this country is the giving away of the responsibility for individual service. We are creating a society of narcissism, envy, and greed. I believe we have become this way because of government co-opting our duty to serve each other. I have faith in moral people to do the right thing. I don't have faith in government to do the right thing.
