Text messaging is a leading cause of traffic accidents and deaths among teenagers as well. Apparently they cannot multi task as well as they think they can.

Actually, there was a giant research paper that came out a few months that showed that older people were actually better at multi-tasking than young people. I'll clip it if I can find it...

Basically, the brain goes through different stages depending on your age and what you use it for. Younger people absorb knowledge faster, but have concentration problems. Older people have better mental fluidity that allows them to shift between tasks and manage priorities better, which are the key skills in multi tasking.

I hate people who send me text messages with no real words or complete sentences.

I laugh every time I see this commercial. I will be that mom in a few years. I am also horrified at the abuses that language is suffering.
