Since our split in July my ex has had his oldest daughter 3 weekend. 2 of those weekends were only a Saturday to Sunday because if he has a whole weekend it cuts into his social time with his girlfriend. He also considers those few weekends that he has had our oldest that I am, "dumping her on him". I have received NO financial support from him and now he is ordered to pay 475 a month. Weekly that won't even cover the childcare costs for our 7 month old. He continues to be covered by my works health insurance. ...

He complains that he is forced to pay that amount and threatens to take me to court for 50/50 placement. If it was because he wanted to spend time with his daughters I could understand but the only reason is because he can't "afford" what amounts to $100 a week. So while I can understand that there can be certain circumstances where the father is taken financial advantage of (a close friend of mine is in a situation much like that 2/3 of his income goes to his ex in alimony and child support) not all woman are being manipulated by the system. We are leaving men who manipulated us and continue to manipulate us with threats of custody battles in order to lessen their financial obligation. I refuse to let my children become monetary equations in a court of law.
