I disagree.

Have you read her niece's letter which she sent to the media regarding the murder of her father? She squarely blames Benazir for her brother's cold-blooded murder in open daylight.

I have not. My opinion is much less studied than instinctual. Have you done much research and though about the question? What is your take?

My take is that Benazir's government was corrupt on both occasion of her being in power. I'm willing to take her niece's account of murder on it's face value. The latest carnage has all the markings of ridiculous security measures given that she herself is claiming that she was tipped off on the threat prior to landing in the city. It's not like she landed as a prime minister or a president of the country where should would have all the security precautions by default, she landed as one of the many political leaders depending on the local government to take precautions on her behalf. It was totally ridiculous of her to risk the lives of so many of her own party workers.

But then did she not also risk her own security? It does not make sense (outside an even larger conspiracy theory) that she would do this procession if she had truly taken the threats as genuine.
