Well, if a religion is going to take a theological stand regarding sexuality, then its clergy should live up to that standard - and, given that the effects of sexual misconduct can have seriously devastating effects (especially in cases involving children or where the clergy member has abused his or her position of authority and influence to take advantage of vulnerable parishioners, among other things,) having a list of clergy who have legitimately had questions raised about their sexual conduct.

As for adding adultery, good for them. In the Christian faith, adultery is actually one of those "thou shalt nots" that truly IS written in stone. As much as homosexuality is condemned in many Christian denominations and/or churches, references to it being an "abomination" to God are contained in just the general text of the Bible. Adultery? Its on the list of the Big Bad 10. And yet it seems like adultery is considered an unfortunate lapse of judgement, but certainly far less serious than being gay.

If they want people to take their preachings serious, they really need to start taking them seriously themselves. If people who are currently Anglicans or Anglican ministers find that they disagree with the policy, they can either try to work within the church to change it again or the can make a home in a different denomination that better suits their beliefs.
