excellent find! thanks for clipping! I remember when there was the saying "If only I had my camera." Now everyone has a phone camera but it's still as hard to have the camera in the right place at the right time. These pictures show, that a fraction of a second, can mean the difference between being glad to have a camera, to wondering why it was taken out of the cupboard. Now that is some good work, cool pictures man! All of these are excellent examples of that instant known as the critical or decisive moment, a concept attributed to the photographic philosophy of Henri Cartier Bresson. These photos look doctored. While a doctored photo on the 'net is as common as butter on toast, not a single one of these appear to be so to my eye. Each one can be reasonably attributed to high-speed capture with flash or sequential photos (commonly referred to as motor-drive, but a thing of the past with no motor driving film) and good instincts as to timing and location or planning. Stunning photos Hey BB, HCB is my hero!!! nice. Now where are all the good pictures taken at just the wrong time? These photos look doctored.Define: doctored Do you mean fake or just a little "enhance color". There's a diffence. Thanks for sharing these excellent captures. I love the dog swimming, mine does the same... so cute! Pop for the one with the whale & dolphin But the whole clip is awesome. Thanks Vandamonium talk about timing. where these all by the same guy? I saw the one of the bear catching the salmon on TV. It's not a photo, it's a frame from a video clip. I'm willing to bet that each of these is the same. My "if I had a camera" moment came when one of my cats stuck his head in my shoe and got stuck. He was running in circles with his head caught. In any case, I didn't have any film at the time (this was pre-digital). |
