Willhelm, almost every day I have a comment in my clips meant to personally attack or intentionally invoke anger in me. It's become, quite frankly, boring. Here, for example, is a nice little clip about good mental health, which I am an advoke of and you try to make a snide little remark based on the fact that my comment indicated a good score on the test. I simply cannot understand you Willhelm. I have to ask myself what values I have that seem to bother you so much. Is it the fact that I think that gays and lesbians should be proud of who they are and expect to enjoy the same rights as straight Americans--including the right to get married, which I have s... Thank you for this clip Deb. If nothing else, it is good fun and even somewhat enlightening. My suggestion to you, if I may, is that you stop responding to willie's comments because at this point, it is obvious to me, that he is merely trying to tweak your nose constantly in the hope that you will become upset, respond and thus validate his overall disrespect for you. Here is willie in a nut shell: For someone who appears to worship logic, he is someone who is prone to a lot of fallacies.... For someone who likes to say he seeks clarity, he speaks in obscure ways.... And for some one who says he works with the poor, he apparently hates them with passion.... This is not happy person, this is a troll looking for some validation of himself. If he where any of the things he claims to be, he would have left a long time ago, as clearly these forums are incompatible with him. I let him drive me off Clipmarks for a while, but having had time to reflect, I understood this man's opinions amount to absolutely nothing. You, Debby, as so well liked and so much fun. I love your comments. I love your clips. Don't let him steal your joy, or ours. Let me state that I enjoy ALL of your comments. There is only my power that keeps me from becoming provoked. Most of the childish comments here are peoples attempts to dissuade others to their opinions. My opinions are secure but not rigid. I have been enlightened by many of you. My anonimity allows me to be rude, crude and insensitive if I choose to be but I choose to be natural. If you met me in real life you would find me to be the same as I am online. Not many can make that claim. The only ones I have ever banned are the spammers and the clipfathers are notified and they take action. To disagree with me is easy, I could be wrong in my opinion. If you get nasty then I just chalk it up to... I agree with your swirly. You voice a very coherent and sane perspective on many of the conversations that transpire on this site. I too, behave exactly within this forum as I do in my personal life. I think there are several people who could probably say that honestly. But you are a breath of honesty and thought into what can sometimes be a rambling and aimless chaos of alleged debate. Deb, I agree with michellezm. Don' you dare go anywhere lady. You are exactly where you belong. Oh, I have my immature but-head days but I try to minimize them. On days I find myself commenting like that, I try to limit myself to pops. I'm human and my buttons are pushable too. My feelings get hurt and my defences go up. I admit I don't put too much thought into many things like religion or politics. Most of the time my comments on these subjects are my viewpoints and opinions and I couldn't care less if you agree with me or not. I like to state the obvious to me because not many people see the obvious. Too many people delude themselves into thinking Too many things are operating on Too many levels. Sometimes a stone is just a stone. Thank you all for such thoughtful and kind comments I have never blocked anyone from making comments on my clips before and it was a truly difficult decision for me to decide to block Willhelm, because of my belief in free speech. A very good friend pointed out to me that it sometimes gets to the point where every counter argument I presented was being used as an enabling force for the expression of their vitriol, and I realized that was what it had become. I believe there is probably a clash between free speech and the right to be left alone from repeated personal attacks. Others may agree or disagree, but this was a personal decision for me and one I truly wish I wouldn't have had to make and I really and truly mean that. I almost popped this straight for the comments. ha. I just wanted to mention that I agreed with all the things said here in your support Debby. You made the right decision. True, we all have the right to free speech and expression here, but we also have the right to enjoy this community without harassment and disruption at every turn. Regardless of who it is .. Deb I block a few people myself. My policy is simple, if you want to have a reasoned debate, your more than welcomed. If you want to shout at the world, its ok, from time to time, but if your policy is to ridicule fellow clippers, spread hate and ignorance or try to convert me to something or other, good luck with that.... Eventually he won't be able to comment anywhere except on his own clips and that will probably drive him away. As many trolls do, he will migrate somewhere else and complain loudly about the people at Clipmarks until he either finds a place that will welcome him or not. But thats neither your problem or mine. I just want you to know that you are appreciated and that I consider you a ray of sunshine in the CM community.I second that.
