In a way its funny, but sad that one cow died. A new topic for driver's education: How to avoid hitting cows in the road.

Driving home on an unlit main road at about 2am one morning last year, a small deer ran across my path. There was no room to manoeuvre and I hit it head on. By luck it went underneath the car knocking a few bits off as it went. I was OK; the car a write-off; and the deer dead.
I dread to think if it had been a cow . . .
