What an interesting article Toad! I've seen these windmills personally and although I can understand some of his objections if they were on a mass scale, bit I think a bigger threat to the beauty of this state is mountaintop removal and the clear cutting of timber without any regard to forest management, not to mention coal companies neglect to burn clean coal as they have had the technology for years. I'm not sure I buy into his argument that wind would power so little homes. I've looked into it for personal use and I would disagree with him. I'm a big fan of alternate energy in all forms that leave us humans leaving a lighter footprint on our planet. However I felt compelled to clip this simply because it is another viewpoint, and I believe we need to explore every angle. Empathy for all sentient life, and all that supports life on this increasingly fragile planet, our home. I wish issues were always black and white, but they often aren't, are they Toad? Thanks for the clip |
