This is a guy who previously donated money to a major abortion clinic. Like most politicians these days, he'll craft his words however he feels people want to hear them. Am I reading this correctly? Guiliani thinks it should be lawful to have an abortion, but "decent" people wouldn't? It looks to me like he's saying that people of differing opinions on the issue are "equally decent." I like his stance-- he acknowledges that while he personally would choose a non-abortion option, that others have rational reasons and convictions that would lead them to choose abortion, and that option should be legal and safe.
