righthand says: Amnesty International has publicly confirmed that a fear of violence directed at their staff forced the organisation to withdraw 'The Revolution Will Not Be Televised' from their recent film festival in Vancouver, Canada. In an article in the Guardian newspaper (http://www.guardian.co.uk/venezuela/story/0,12716,1090788,00.html), an Amnesty spokesman said the organisation had been forced to pull the film after staff at their Venezuelan office expressed fears for their safety if the film was screened. Prior to this, Amnesty has received a series of representations alleging that the film had distorted key events. These representations were rejected. The film was only pulled after the safety fears were raised. The Guardian confirmed that the campaign to halt screenings of the film is connected to opponents of the Venezuelan government. Thank you for the "known movie links websites". I never know what works at your end. "The Revolution will not be Televised" is also called "Inside the Coup". I don't recall which is the longer, at the moment. I'm still amazes at the coincidence that an Irish TV crew were filming when the coup started. Any doubts? Righthand. Your title is a false supposition. " The revolution will not be televised" (TRWNBT) has been shown in many theathers in the US, Also in many Universities, political rallies, etc. Has won 21 international prizes. the same international applause as Leni Riefensthal got in 1.936 for her propaganda films abouth Hitler and the Nazi Party. You can see "Der triumpf des willens" and you can see how the world was deceived by the careful editing, superb cinematography and visual effects that Leni got in her films, paid by Hitler. The film has serious flaws, specially in the careful editing which tells a story which appeals the grat masses , the story of David and Goliath. But the reality ... I refute all that you say. Either I clip an article on "Inside the Coup" or you do. I'm not reviving a 2007 clip just to satisfy someone whose opinion I could not hope to modify and supplies no evidence to support their allegation. My name is Wolfgang Schalk. I am the producer and director of "X Rays of a lie". . I have supplied the link so you can see it in Google. What else do you want ?? I´m sorry to say that you are biased and don´t want to see the other side of the events. Wolfgang Schalk |
