righthand says:
"In a TV interview aired on Lebanon's New TV station, Sunday, 27 August, Nasrallah said that he would not have ordered the capture of two Israeli soldiers if he had known it would lead to such a war: "We do not think, even 1%, that the capture led to a war at this time and of this magnitude. I'm convinced and sure that this war was planed and that the capture of this hostages was just their excuse to start this war, but if I had known on July 11 ... that the operation would lead to such a war, would I do it? I say no, absolutely not. but the war didn't start because of the operation anyway, it's a written war, they would've chosen any excuse to start it anyway"

Sorry, I know I'm making sweeping generalisations here, but I despise people who refuse to engage with logic and common sense.

Israel is still in the place that the US was 2/3 years ago. Then only the voice of Bush of anything to the right of him was heard. Criticising Bush was akin to attacking god. Now when he attempts to drum up war against Iran, even his 'allies' ignore him. Why didn't he stay flying in Airforce One? Instead they allow that pillock to make a statement on the state of US finances! Result? World finances in free fall. Solution? Eliminate the problem!
