These agents reported to prison yesterday. A federal judge refused to allow them to remain free while seeking appeal. Fifty-five congressmen have petitioned President Bush to pardon the agents, and the President has ignored these congressmen altogether. The drug smuggler was not only granted immunity for the smuggling at which the shooting took place, but for a larger second smuggling attempt which took place later. The smuggler is suing the United States for five-million dollars. If this story matters to you, then please write to President Bush and your federal representatives and make your feelings known. A democratic government only works if you participate.

Shoot a guy for having some drugs?
They deserve to go to jail. They're cops, not gods. Arrest 'em and bring 'em to court.

Or just abandon the drug war all together. Been doing the same stupid crap since 1914.

I love it when the point I've just made is immediately followed by an example of it. Thanks, Mom

Way to go,Eaglemom. Bilge water!!
Typical trick. Restate the whole thing in such a way that enables you to say crap like that.
There is much more to it than that, and this case needs to be reassessed from the very beginning, especially given the implications regarding the current border situation.
