These agents reported to prison yesterday. A federal judge refused to allow them to remain free while seeking appeal. Fifty-five congressmen have petitioned President Bush to pardon the agents, and the President has ignored these congressmen altogether. The drug smuggler was not only granted immunity for the smuggling at which the shooting took place, but for a larger second smuggling attempt which took place later. The smuggler is suing the United States for five-million dollars. If this story matters to you, then please write to President Bush and your federal representatives and make your feelings known. A democratic government only works if you participate.
